Great song!

This was really fun to listen to! I mean, it was nice sounding and all, but it also just felt fun, like I was playing a game or something. Something about the lightheartedness of the song really worked well. It seemed simple, but because it was so fast paced, it felt much more varied.

It may have not been epic in the traditional way, but it was defiantly epic in a more classical way. Great job on this! I love it!

Another Beautiful Masterpiece

Whenever I hear one of your songs, Dudidum, I always think "Man, this has got to be his best song!" I'll then listen to another one of your songs and be like "No, this is definatly his best." I'll go through dozens of songs while thinking that each one is better than the last, but in the end it's hard to say. They're just all so great and for different reasons.

This song, for example, I love just becuase of its seriousness and how deep it feels. I don't really know how to describe it, but when I listen to this song I really get into the music, and I feel like I am on a journey "Into the Dark" as your title perfectally describes the song. It isn't until after I listen to the song that I'm like "Whoa, where am I?" The song really keeps my interested and I am totally focused in the journey I am taken through.

A quick question that I've been wondering about your songs. How long does it take you to write each one? I've never been to great of a songwriter, and writing something of this complexity seems to have taken ages.

Regardless, this is an amazing song like all of your others. 5/5 and 10/10 and downloaded. Thanks for writing such great music and putting it up here for people such as myself to listen to. Keep up the good work!

For the third time, thanks for your constructive review :D!

Everytime I work on a new song I want to make it better than the previous
and that's the reason why it takes longer and longer with every new song to come out.
In the beginning I never even thought about composing hence the names Improvisation. The Adventure Music series was also improvised though with different ideas and more structure.
My first so called "composed" song was Modern Piano and from there on I composed more and more and improvised lesser.

As for your 'quick question': ^^

I often play random stuff on my piano or old stuff from myself and it happens sometimes that I find a new chord progression or a melody with accompainment that I really like.
From this moment on I start to work on this 'idea' and often more ideas come when I work on the inital one. And when I say work I mean stitting at the piano playing around until I find something that fits.
For me every song I write is a steady progression in music and style.
Omg, when you compare the first Improvisation with this song... XD

Thanks again for your review and time!

Holy Crap Man!

It wasn't until after I heard this song that I learned it was improvised. How'd you do it? You have some serious skill. I couldn't even, after hours and hours of composing, make something even half as good as this. You are one extremley talented man. Very nice job, one of my favorites on newgrounds by far!

Dudidum responds:

:D Thanks!

Yea, this was one of the songs which had some structure but wasn't really a composition.
It is, like most of my songs, a collection of ideas stuck together in one piece. The beginning is really fully improvised and the ending was a written during the play ;).

So you can call it a partly improvised piece ;).

Thanks for your review!

AMAZING

This is by far the best cover of this song I've ever heard. This takes me way back...I remember when I used to just turn on my 64 and go to the windmill so I could listen to this song while I did my homework.

Soundshifter responds:

haha that's awesome man. thanks for listening :)

Love it!

I've been listening through a lot of your songs, and this one has definatly got to be my favorite. It's just so soft, yet also rich and adventurous. I was listening to this while programming just now, and though I was getting extremly stressed out over my code, I felt so at peace once I started to listen to this song . I fixed a huge bug which has been driving me nuts while listening to this song, and I owe so much thanks to the creator of this song because of this. This song put my mind at rest so I could sit down and concentrate on my problems at hand instead of being so stressed out like I was before.

Dudidum responds:

That's some cool review :).

Since I'm also a programmer in some way I know exactly what you mean ;).
Having a bug and not finding the problem drives you insane especially when you try to solve it and think there can't be anything wrong anymore but it still doesn't work.

For me there are two solutions.
Sleeping over it or calming myself with some good music.
If I don't have time to sleep I always go for the latter and it works pretty well :D.

Thanks for the review and I'm glad my music helped you :)!
